My Personal Life Story
I'm Raymund Aban, a 30-year-old native of Monkayo, Compostela Valley, currently residing in the bustling city of Davao. Life has taken me on a unique journey, filled with unexpected twists and turns. Today, I'll share my story with you.
I was born and raised in Monkayo, where I spent my childhood surrounded by the beauty of nature. It was a serene and simple life, far from the hustle and bustle of the city. Little did I know, life had bigger plans for me.
After completing my high school education, I decided to pursue my dreams by enrolling in college. I studied Bachelor of Science in Business Administration, an exciting field that introduced me to the intricacies of the business world. It was during this time that I honed my skills and developed a strong work ethic.
One of my proudest moments was passing the Licensure Examination for Teachers (LET), which granted me eligibility to teach. This achievement opened up several opportunities for me in the education sector.
My journey took an unexpected turn when I ventured into the world of customer service. I joined CNM BPO Solutions as a call center agent. It was a challenging but rewarding experience. I enjoyed assisting customers and learning about various industries, but then came the unforeseen hurdle of the COVID-19 pandemic.
Impact of the Pandemic
The pandemic hit hard, and the company I worked for had to make difficult decisions. They offered retrenchment to several employees, including myself. It was a tough period in my life, filled with uncertainty and anxiety. I had to adapt quickly to the changing job market.
New Beginnings
Fortunately, I didn't let this setback define my future. I decided to turn the page and explore new opportunities. I joined the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) Internship Program as an intern. It was a fresh start, and I was eager to learn and grow in this new role.
Skills and Passion
During my career transition, I discovered a passion for web development. I started learning HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, gradually evolving into a front-end web developer. My thirst for knowledge and dedication led me to acquire new skills, which I now use in my current job and beyond.
Current Chapter
Today, I'm part of the DOLE internship program, contributing to meaningful work that helps empower others in the labor force. I'm also undergoing training in E-Commerce with Digital Marketing for Micro, Small, and Medium-sized Enterprises (MSMEs). This training aligns with my career aspirations and allows me to keep growing.
Looking Ahead
My journey has taught me that life is unpredictable, and challenges can lead to incredible opportunities. As I continue my path, I look forward to the day when I can combine my passion for web development with my background in business administration to create something truly special.
